Soil-Cement Wall

Continuous soil-cement walls are installed underground using mechanical soil-mixing technology for the purposes of excavation support, ground water control and containment of contaminated soil. The equipment for this purpose has multiple shaft augers to install a panel element consisting of multiple overlapped soil-cement columns. The panels also overlap each other to form continuous soil-cement walls. A recent development is TRD, a large trench cutting equipment equipped with the chainsaw-like cutter, which moves horizontally while cutting and mixing in-situ soil with cement grout to form seamless soil-cement walls.
